We have been reading the original version of "Mrs. Wishy Washy" this week and today we acted it out with animal figures and kinetic sand that looked like mud! The children had so much fun re-telling the story this way and everyone joined in on the "wishy-washy" part! U also put the manipulatives out for the children to re-tell the story during centers.

Outside Time
With the much needed rain last night, our playground was a bit wet, so we wore our rainboots outside for the first time. How fun! The dirt pit was too muddy to play in but that didn't stop us from having fun playing and exploring other areas like looking at the raindrops on flowers with the magnify glasses and running and jumping.
Some friends had muddy boots, so Mrs. Koenen sprayed their boots off with the water hose before we went inside!
We began making a special book for Mrs. Oswald's birthday surprise. We got out special markers and many of the children really took their time working hard to make their picture look extra special.
The Letter H
We came up with words that begin with the Letter H today and then we worked with partners and made the letter H out of two large straight lines and one little straight line. What great cooperation!
Reading Fun
This class loves to read!!! We read a fun story about a mice looking for the biggest apple and then they ended up working together to make a giant apple pie to share with their friends. I love seeing friends read together and read books we have been reading in class.
Zoey reads the book Apples! Apples! Apples! all by herself! Great job!
You will always find Nora reading!!!
