Miss Steinbacher, Zion's Children's Ministry Director, came into our classroom and led Jesus Time. She talked about people being broken and how Adam and Eve, the first people God created, became broken when they sinned and listened to the sneaky snake and ate the forbidden apple off of the tree. She read from her Bible and taught us a song about God sending His Son, Jesus, to take those sins away. The song is called "Do You Know Who Died For Me?" We sing it at chapel sometimes so the students from last year already knew it! Miss Steinbacher taught us the sign language motions to go along with the song and I noticed several students were very interested in "sign language" so I briefly told them that sign language is another way to communicate without words. I also found a few sign language books that I have added to our classroom library. We will see where this leads!

Outside Fun
A sunny day but it was hot so we didn't stay out very long!
Dot Day!
Today was Dot Day, so we read the book "The Dot" about a little girl who didn't think she was an artist but ended up feeling good about herself when she created works of art with all types of DOTS! I found many different things that we could make dots with... by dipping things in paint and having fun with dot dabbers! It was so much fun I think we will make Dot Day, two days in our classroom!
Center Time
Some children created some amazing creations out of blocks, magna tiles, and legos!!!
Reading
I always enjoy capturing the children reading together. It brings this reading teacher so much joy!
