Truck Tuesday

Toy Cars & Trucks

Several friends brought in toy cars or monster trucks to share with the class today. It’s not too late to bring one in! I told the class Mrs. Talley forgot to bring her favorite car to school today as well! And friends who brought one today can bring theirs back, as there are lots of things we will do with our vehicles. We had time for a few friends to share and more friends will share throughout the week, so if your child didn't get a turn today, he or she will get sometime this week!

Levi told us about his black race car. It goes fast!

Zoey brought a yellow Mustang that had Taxi written on it. Levi knew what a taxi was and we know if you travel to a big city, like NYC, we would see a lot of yellow taxis.

Luke loves his monster trucks! This is his favorite.

Harrison is a big monster truck fan! I need to ask him the name of this truck and write it down because he knew all about it and shared a lot of amazing details. It has big wheels.

Lots of the kiddos knew the name of Harrison's monster truck! It looks a lot like El Toro Loco! I love it when preschoolers teach me new things! I'm going to be a Monster Truck expert in a few weeks!

Outdoor Play

The class made some great choices during outdoor time! Outdoor time is so very important for developing our bodies and learning to use or large motor skills like climbing and jumping. I observed children doing both of those things today!

Renesmae and Beckett built something with the shutters for other classmates to 

jump on. What fun! It's good for growing bodies to manipulate big objects as they learn spatial awareness and become connected to the world around them.

Beckett is carefully putting the shutters in place.

Color Mixing

A few more friends got to work with color mixing today. 

Center Time Fun

Mrs. Debrick was our assistant for today while Mrs. Koenen is on her trip. Many of the children had fun building a marble maze with Mrs. Debrick during centers.
