Happy 4th Birthday Olivia!!!

Olivia's mom came in to read us a special book for Olivia's 4th birthday. The book is called "The World Needs Who You Were Made to Be" by JoAnna Gaines. It was a wonderful story about how we are all different, not only in the way we look but how we approach problem-solving and tasks in different ways. I love the message and extended it by telling the children that God made us all unique and different. How God has given us different "gifts" to share with other people. How we are all good at different things. Olivia's mom gave each child a bag with a person cutout and crayons and asked the children to decorate the person with what they want to be when they grow up when they get home. It was fun to hear what the children want to be when they grow up. I'm thinking this might be something we explore in the future! I heard the following... vet, doctor for children, firefighter and Aaviya said  EVERYTHING!!

Mrs. Wishy Washy Book

We read the Mrs. Wishy-Washy book for the second time. This predictable text is easy for the children to memorize and they love it because they feel they are reading! We will add it to the basket of "Books We Can Read!"
