Wednesday's Blog

 Sneak a Peek Morning

The children are really enjoying having their families visit our classroom. It has been fun seeing them show you our morning routine and see them get so excited.

Levi and his dad.

Levi and his brother Carson.

Leo and his Grandma!

Harrison and his mom and sister.

Selah and her dad.

Abikritti and her dad.

Nora and her mom.

Outside Fun

There was more mulch clean-up, children at this age love to help!

Spiders Art!

Today was the last day for spider web art. Several friends made a sticky masterpiece today and everyone knows that spiders have 8 legs and 8 eyes!

Center Time

Center Time was quick today. That's what happens when you are having fun! I got out the gears and there was lots of creative exploring.

Working at the Writing Center
Some friends chose to work at the writing center. We added some Halloween stickers!

Making Funny Hair!
I love how children can take anything you give them and be creative like turning these tubes into funny hair styles. Love it!

Hammering the Pumpkin
The children enjoyed hammering golf tees into the pumpkin. What great skills this is developing! Taking turns, fine motor and creativity! We also practiced taking the tees out so a new group of friends could have a turn.

Making a Squirrel
Levi helped Selah make a squirrel. I love seeing classmates help and teach each other!

The Farmer's Market

The Sensory Table
Some friends had fun at the sensory table. When a lot of the beans and rice fell out, they helped clean it up!

Jesus Time
We have been learning about Moses this week. And today I read this wonderful story that reminds us that when we are scared, like Moses was when he grew up and had to face Pharoah, God is with us. That God protects us at all times. God was with Moses when he was a baby in the river, when he was a child in the palace and when he was leading God's people. God is bigger then all of our fears, all of our problems.

Waiting For the Elevator- Halloween Version
We love Laurie Berkner's song, "Waiting for the Elevator," and found that she has a Halloween version. We enjoyed singing and doing the actions to this song. Click on the link to view and sing and dance at home.

Reading
Our Read Aloud for the day. Based on the book, "We're Going on a Bear Hunt!" So much fun to read and we predicted how they would get there and then acted it out!

Five Little Pumpkins

I taught the boys and girls the song/poem, "Five Little Pumpkins" and we acted it out with cutout pumpkins and a gate that some of the students helped me make.
