Monday's Blog

Sneak a Peek
It was fun to have family members visit our class this morning! We will be doing Sneak a Peek all week, so please feel free to bring your child in so he or she can show you our classroom!

Luke and his Mom.

Olivia enjoyed having her mom make a visit.

Selah and her mom color an apple.

Annibella and her grandma play with play dough.

Renesmae enjoyed showing her grandma our classroom.

Outside Fun
It was a bit cooler today and truly felt like fall! We looked for signs of fall while we were outside. We also cleaned up the mulch on the playground.

Reading
There was lots of reading going on today, which I always love to see!

Our read aloud for the day. We learned about signs of fall in this book as weel.

I love seeing friends read together!

Center Fun!
Centers are always a lot of fun! The children made great choices and worked well together.

Olivia explores the sensory table.

Counting money in the market.

Ellis paints a pumpkin!

We got out a new marble playset!

Friends coloring together.

Luke paints.

Selah paints a rainbow.

The Mystery Letter
The clues were nurse, nest, and nose. The children were excited to discover our new letter is N! We need 3 lines to make the letter N. We also listened to the N alphabet sound story.

Pumpkin Song
I introduced the class to the song, "I Picked a Pumpkin" by Laurie Burkner, one of my favorite musicians for young children. We will sing the song for the next few weeks. Here is the link so you can watch it at home.
