Wednesday's Blog

Chapel

We had chapel in the church today! It was J.J.'s turn to carry the cross and take our offering up when it was time. Mrs. Helmkamp, Zion's early childhood director, led chapel. Mrs. Helmkamp talked about God being three in one and how we say We begin in the name of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit during the invocation every day. We also say it at the closing of chapel. Mrs. Helmkamp reminded us how the Holy Spirit helps us show God's love to others.

An image Mrs. Helmkamp shared that shows God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

J.J. takes the offering up to the alter for our class.

We Fixed the Vacuum!!!
Many friends worked on the vacuum today and all of a sudden it began to run! We tested it out several times and it picked up paper, so the parts that had been taken off were quickly put back on by the children. There were squeals of amazement and lots of excitement. I contacted my friend, Mrs. Stanglein, who donated it to us, and she thought for sure it was dead!!! AMAZING!!!!!! Way to go preschool!!!!!!! We will be sending her the bill!!!

The Letter A
We practiced making the letter A with partners.

Reading
We read this fun fall book about a bear that wouldn't share. The bear and the squirrel were both getting ready for winter, the squirrel collecting nuts to hide and the bear eating everything in sight!
