Tuesday's Blog

 Sneak a Peek Week

It was nice to see so many parents visit this morning. The children enjoyed showing you our classroom and our morning routine.

Leo and his family.

Beckett and his parents.

Landon and his family.

Luke G. and his dad.

Annibella and her mom.

Levi and his family.

Simon and his dad.

Aavya and her dad.

Outside Time

A beautiful fall day but a bit breezy. Autumn has arrived!

Painting Spider Webs

A few friends chose to marble paint spider webs and add a hand drawn spider to their creation. Mrs. Koenen hung them throughout our classroom so our classroom is decorated for our party next week!

Centers

A new center was added today... Mrs. Talley brought a real pumpkin to school and the children decorated the pumpkin by hammering colorful golf tees into it. This is a great way to practice hand and eye coordination and fine motor skills! It was a very popular place to work!

Leo works at the sensory table.

Fixing the old printer is a place that the children continue to visit. They are always very careful to put on their safety googles and take turns with the tools.

The Farmer's Market continues to get visitors as well. I though the children may have grown tired of it but they are always discovering new ways to play.

Zoey finished her squirrel today!

Reading

I always enjoy catching the children reading a good book. Often its a book we have read together or a favorite predictable text that they have memorized. They even enjoy listening to each other read!

Our read aloud for the day. The children really enjoyed this one and we talked about what a scarecrow is and made predictions while we read.

I also introduced the children to the book, "Jack-o-Faces." They will have an opportunity to make their own mini book tomorrow.
