Sink or Float Pumpkins?
The children really enjoyed predicting whether a pumpkin would sink or float. We tested a large pumpkin, a small white pumpkin, a medium striped pumpkin, and a fake pumpkin. Ask your child if the pumpkins sank or float? It was interesting that when it came to the fake pumpkin, everyone thought it would sink! (all of pumpkins floated)
Passing the pumpkins around before we made our predictions.
The fake pumpkin floated!
The striped pumpkin floated!
These are our predictions .

Happy Birthday Mrs. Helmkamp!
Today was Mrs. Helmkamp's birthday. We invited her to our class so we could sing to her.
