Monday's Blog

It was nice to be back at school after four days off! Check out some of the fun things we did today!

Morning Work

Play Dough

A BIG thank you to J.J. and his mom for making multiple batches of play dough for our classroom! Today we played with purple play dough that smelled like vanilla and orange play dough that smelled like birthday cake! We had so much fun!!!

Zoey has fun with the play dough.

Leo develops fine motor skills by rolling out play dough.

Simon makes a worm!

Fall Leaf Counting
Another morning activity this week is looking at the number and placing that many colorful fall leaves on the tree.

Levi counts out leaves.

Renesmae works on counting out leaves.

Jesus Time

During Jesus time we read from the children's Bible on how Isaac got married to Rebekah. We also learned a new song. Although we sang it without the video and our version was bit different, this will give you a good idea.

I've Got the Joy, Joy, Joy, Down in My Heart

Outside Adventures

There was a lot of creative outdoor activity today!

Reading Together

I always enjoy capturing the children reading together! It makes my heart so very happy!

This is the book I read to the class. We will be reading about firefighters and fire safety this week!

Zoey has learned how to read the Apples! Apples! Apples! book and she read it to the class! Great job Zoey!!!

Center Time Learning

Lots of fun during centers. Mrs. Stanglein has asked for her robot vacuum back so now we are on the lookout for something new to take a part! We had a few more parts to put back on but I will return it to her.

Testing out the vacuum.

A few more things to add before it is fully repaired!

Amazing Buildings
Several children worked together to create some amazing structures in our block building area!

A place for the animals.

Painting
Our little artists were busy painting with q-tips and water colors.

Sensory Table
The last day for mud and farm animals in the sensory table.

Lyla and Zoey have fun.

Annibella checks out the mud.

Farmer's Market
Our farmer's market dramatic play area continues to be a popular place during centers. I knew it would be! The children are beginning to pretend to go shopping and using the cash register and money along with the bags.
