Team Work
These boys were very proud of how high
they built the pegs and were
excited to pose for a photo

Teegan started to build with the pegs too

Ryan spent most of morning work time
with the plastic people and animals
She lined them up.... they talked to each other
she was very busy !!

Coloring is another favorite morning
 work time

Colbie joined in

Yesterday during Second Steps we used
our puppets to act out a scenario...
JJ and Rosetta(our puppets) were painting and
Rosetta rain out of green paint.
She didn't know what to do but her friend JJ
had a solution to her problem.
To ask the teacher politely for help.

Today I showed a picture of a little girl named Gloria.
Gloria was trying to follow the teachers directions
of put your jacket on, zip  it up and then line up
BUT
She couldn't get it zippered...
she was looking very sad in the picture.

I asked our class to think of ways to solve Gloria's
problem.

Once they came up with a solution...
Ask a teacher or a friend politely for
help
we took turns practicing how to use
polite words....
Will you please help me
zipper my jacket?

Chapel days we switched up our playground time...

today all the outside play
areas were full SO we went to the
commons and got introduced to
something new...
the scooters!!!

The scooters can be challenging:

the children are using new
muscle groups depending if
they sit on their bottoms
or laying on their bellies

Most stayed on their bottoms as it is
easier to move
A few tried laying on their bellies
but it takes  core strength
to hold your head up and push with
your legs.... not all stayed with
this position because they can't move
as fast
But the more they practice
the more they will switch positions

Teegan said he just felt like running.......

CHAPEL
I love when we have the opportunity to
have chapel in the church!!!

We get to practice how to sit
in the pews:
backs against the pew
feet in front of us

Mr Debrick (our principle)gave chapel today

The beginning of each month
we have Baptismal Remembrance

The children get recognized and
get a little gift from the school

The children love to hear their name
and the names of their friends called

I tried to capture all my
friends who got called today...

We had several.......

video from last week to show them
all different types of lines..
the kids actually love this video
it is called LINES
from Scratch Garden...

the song is super catchy and the kids go
around signing it..so cute!

Each child gets to make
their own art from lines
this week... and then they are naming
their creations..
