Play doh is a
favorite area...
This morning the boys were making
all kinds of food with "jalapeno peppers"

A few new items out this morning

Jesus Time

WOW!!  Great job....
everyone came over and sat criss-cross
applesauce and they are
patiently waiting for our
invocation leader to begin

Teegan was our invocation leader

We are acting out our
Jesus Story:

Benefits to Role Playing:
encourages imagination and creativity
support social-emotional development
improves language and communication skills
reinforces our story

Trente pretended to be Jacob,
Joseph's father

Samuel pretended to be Joseph
Jacob is giving his favorite
son a beautiful coat

Joseph started to put the coat on
but when he realized he need to
talk (repeat words)
Our 1 st Joseph decided to be
part of the audience

Our 2nd Joseph happily put the beautiful
coat on and repeated my words.......

All the other brothers were NOT happy
and felt jealous

Then Joseph's brothers were very unkind to him
and our 2nd Joseph didn't want to be Joseph anymore

This is all part of development...

sometimes it is hard to speak in front of a group
or
to let others PRETEND to be mean to you..

Our 3rd and final Joseph
was OK with the brothers PRETENDING
to be mean to him.

First the brothers threw Joseph in a well
but then decided to sell him to become
a slave in Egypt

Te brothers are getting Joseph up and
walking him to the man from Egypt(Teegan)

Joseph has a LOT of hard times
slavery and prison

After the brothers sell Joseph
they go to their father and tell
him that Joseph is dead

Jacob is very sad

Then we talk about even though
Joseph had some very hard times
He never loss faith in God
and God was always with him

The king ended taking favor over Joseph
and made him an important man in Egypt

After awhile Joseph's brothers ended
up going to Egypt to ask for help...
not recognizing the important man as their brother
Bowed down to Joseph to ask for help

Joseph being a man of faith
forgave his brothers and helped them in
their time of need!

I talked to the children about how even when we
sin GOD always forgives us
as well as our parents, teachers and friends.

our actors taking a "bow" for their performance

During our Second Steps lesson
we reviewed what we learned yesterday

To ask for help when we need it
use a clear and polite voice

Today we played a game
to practice asking for a toy we may want

May I please have_______
when you are finished....
For the game we used a squishy toy

Everyone did a vey nice job
practicing a clear and polite voice

Outside Colton was
pretending to be on a
Speedy Boat...

Another class set up the bubble maker

Lots of fun watching and catching
bubbles

The children discovered a
Bird's nest

Carly was our prayer leader

We sang the Tap Tap Tap
song and made the letter V

Samuel has been waiting all morning to do this
line coloring hseet

Lots of LINES

This is a great activity to reinforce
 cutting skills

It was the most popular area today

We had to start a sign up sheet....
And we got to practice
- patience waiting
-turn taking
-practice writing
- and we had to learn that just because they
put their name on the paper ----it wasn't
immediately their turn.......
so patience waiting!!
I set a 5 min timing and then
those who were on the list got
called to take their turn.
-

This group took turns
writing their name for the sign up list

I asked Eddie what he was creating...

He said Apple Juice
Creation

Brody was exciting to show me his
lines he was creating

Samuel was very proud of
his creation too

Line Art

Eddie was our exercise leader

SQUATS

10 SQUATS!

I just wanted to show you
the sign up list........
