Morning Work Time

Lots of pretty gems and
lots of lines:
Horizontal
vertical
diagonal
swirl
Great for developing fine
motor skills and reinforcing
lines!

Sabrina and Dominic spent some time
writing letters during morning
work time

A fun new game:
Roll the die and then use pom-poms
to cover the white spots on the tree
(filling an apple trees)
So if you roll a 3...then count out 3
pom-poms and put them on your tree...
keep going until your tree is full

Hank had a birthday on one
of our days off SO we celebrated today!

Hank's special guest reader
His MOM!!!

SO FUN!!!
What a special way to celebrate HANK!

Jesus Time

Last week we learned about baby Moses
and how God protected Moses and had
special plans for him.
Today we learned what those special plans were

Moses grew up and realized what King Pharaoh
was doing was wrong. He went to Pharaoh
over and over and asked
Let my people go!!!
Pharaoh said NO over and over
9 times...then finally he said YES!!!

Moses led the Israelites to freedom
Even though Pharaoh said yes..he changed his mind and sent his army
after Moses and his people!

God was with them and did amazing things to protect
the Israelites.... ask your child to see if they
remember how the people got away
(clue: parting of the red sea)

A little music and movement time

Go Noodle is a great website
with fun music for kids

Milkshake is a silly song and a favorite

Then since we were celebrating Hank today
we sang a song called
Birthday Party

outside time

Everyday the children ask for the
wheel barrow

camp fire with rocks today instead
of the sticks......
they told me that all the logs were being used
so they had to think of a new plan..

great job problem solving!

WOW!
The children were so excited to see
this butterfly!

Lots of fun running after
 the butterfly too

Lots of digging  in the mulch

And a little rolling in the mulch

Travis likes to sweep

Hank was being
"called to care"
Jace said the log was
too heavy for him so
Hank immediately came over to help!

Great Job!

Dominic was prayer leader

Thank You Charlie for
the bananas!!

Handwriting without tears

We love the Tap, Tap Tap song

This is a great song to reinforce
direction following and becoming
familiar with the lines
we use to form our letters

We made the letter A

Then we used our finger to "trace"
the lines...
remembering to start at the TOP

For Center Time

we got to get out the birthday party bag!
to celebrate Hank!
What fun!
This was a popular area today
and we started a sign up sheet so we
could take turns

the art center is alway a
popular choice

I always love to see the
children creating!!

Painting lines on the art easel

practicing cutting

Jace was the exercise leader and he choose
arm circles!
