A close up of Brody's car

Hank was proud of his work

Samuel was too...
Both were excited to have me take a picture!

Here were we brainstorming ways to keep
our class safe or
some safety rules...

a few thoughts from the kids:

run outside
practice our safety drills
during a fire drill we go outside
use a security camera
video doorbell

We then talked about how much this
class likes to wrestle or lay
on top of each other during transitions times....
for example some of the class may be cleaning
and others are on the carpet....
sometimes those on the carpet end
up laying on each other
Wrestling or the need to roll
around is normal development
for young children...however it isn't
always safe with a large
number of kids at once

SO we did an activity today
where we could roll...
and no one would get hurt!!
We rolled up tight in a blanket
like a "burrito"
which many children like the feeling of
being rolled tight...
like when infants are swaddled or
some people like the feeling of a
weighted blanket... it brings
comfort and is soothing....

and the children loved the movement of rolling!!!

Evie went 1st...

not everyone wanted a turn
but I think we will do this activity again

I think more kids might do it now that
they know what to expect.....

Hank

Some wanted their arms out
and some let me roll them with their
arms by their sides....

Sabrina

I kinda got a workout
rolling everyone!!!
I worked up a sweat!

Outside Time

Wow!!!
Our playground is full
of God's amazing creatures!!!

Ryan was prayer leader

Eddie was snack manager

Ryan was

another child spilled and she got up on
her own and got paper towels to
help clean

their fingers

Center Time

Ryan working on
her line art

The art easel...

Typically I encourage the children to
stand to use the art easel....
It builds strength in muscles
they do not always use...

But today Hank declared he was tired
and needed a chair and then Lola
thought that was a good idea....
so Hank was
"Called to Care"
And quickly brought her a chair too!

Blocks this year is one area not many
have spent any time...
But today many children worked
very cooperatively and for
a long time

Teegan and Jace were really enjoying
the dramatic play area

Lots of creating
and mixing of colors to
create new colors!!!

Their creation is coming together!!

Great Job!!

Brody said this was like a mirror

Hank and Jace were serving
Pizza and juice from the
dramatic play area today

Brody choose
Running in place
