Morning Work Time

Sabrina and I are
twins today

Dominic saw Sabrina and I take a
picture together and he wanted
to take one together too...

Jesus Time
We acted out the story
of Joseph and his colorful coat!

Dominic volunteered to be Jacob,
Joseph's father

Sabrina volunteered to be Joseph

Jacob had 12 sons but loved
Jospeh most of all
and gave hime a beautiful coat
of many colors

Quite a few other children volunteered to be
the other 11 brothers
(however not all the children wanted to be
 a brother and choose to be part
of the audience)

Look at some of the angry faces...

We talked about how Jospeh's brothers felt angry and
jealous

"Jospeh "then told his brothers about some
of the dreams he had..
where he saw his bundles of wheat
bowing down in front of him
and he also saw all the stars, the sun
and the moon
all bowing down to him

This made the brothers very mad

The brothers came up with a plan

They were very mean to
Jospeh...
and ultimately sold him
into slavery

After Jospeh was gone they went to
their dad and told Jacob
Jospeh was eaten by wild animals....

Jacob was very sad...

Meanwhile.... Jospeh was in Egypt.. had bad things
happen to him BUT GOD was always with him.
The king of Egypt took favor on Jospeh .He became
an important leader.... and later Jospeh's
brothers needed help and came to Egypt
to ask for food. 

Not recognizing Jospeh..his brothers bowed down
to him... just like in his dream!

Today we concentrated on how GOD was with Jospeh, even in
bad times..God will always be with us.

Tomorrow we will concentrate on how Jospeh
forgave his brothers...even when they
did terrible things to him..
We will learn that God always forgives us too

And we should forgive each other(like our siblings
and friends at school)

Today JJ and Rosetta ( our puppets)
came to school.

Rosetta was painting a picture and needed
green paint.  She was feeling sad and unsure
how to solve this problem.

JJ taught Rosette that when you need something that you cant
reach or don't know how to get
you can find a friend or a teacher to ask

So Rosetta went to the teacher and politely
said, " Excuse me, Mrs Oswald, may I please have some
green paint?"

And of course the teacher said...

"Of course Rosetta and I like how politely you asked!"

Our last song settled us down and is a great
way to teach relaxation.
It is called rainbow breathing..

The children are very into
finding lines...
some lines make letters....

So much excitement for finding the letter H
in the sky!!!!

Outside Time

The tunnel is a popular place
especially on hot days!!

But also a fun place for tricks...

I had a few marshmallows
left over from a project and let the
children have the rest with their
bananas

Center Time

Most of the children
can wait for this time of day!!!

And to them it is
Play Time!!
But so much learning happens
during center time.

Problem Solving, Choice Making
counting to see if the center is full,
turn taking..and so much more

Building tracks for the trains
is another great learning
experience

The boys made the trains tracks travel all
the way to under the sensory table.
very creative!

Trente was our exercise leader
today.  He choose running in place.

Staying in place was a little hard
but everyone enjoyed this exercise!
