Locks with keys:
Great fine motor skills as well as
problem solving

A FAVORITE activity of the day!!

Hammering golf tees into a pumpkin and then
attaching rubber bands from
tee  to  tee!!

So much fun

BUT

This activity build strength
in little fingers and hands,
AND
great for hand eye
coordination

play doh

This activity was to reinforce
number recognition

using lots of different materials
to make lots of different lines

Hank wanted me to take
a picture of his work

Dominic also wanted a picture of his work

making swirls during
morning work time

It doesn't show up too well in the picture
but Carly also made swirls!!

Everyone wanted a turn at
pumpkin hammering

A special day for Carly

Her Birthday

Carly's guest reader was Mrs Horn
how fun for her ELP teacher to come read

We all sang Happy Birthday
and
God's Blessings

Center Time:

We had a different kind of day....
we did center time early
because of our parties

We did pumpkin hammering
again during center time
because so many friends
still wanted a turn

Working on her birthday art

Colton is the artist of the week

Sabrina wanted to show me her lego
work!!

Creating Time!!!

New exciting items in the sensory table

lots of items to develop fine motor skills
pipe cleaners, buttons and toilet
paper rolls

Trente has really been into making
and delivering picture for all
his friends at school

Doing his "work"

Lola spent a lot of time here
putting the letter cards in order

She self corrected here... she started to sing
the song and realized she needed the "D"
between "C" and "E"

During Second Steps
we talked about emotions....

we used cards to identify
lots of different emotions....

we thought that some of us might feel
"SURPRISED"
with all the fun activities the moms planned
for our Harvest Party!

While the rooms moms set up we did a
Science Experiement

Our plan was to go to the commons....

But another class was already there..
so the hallway worked just fine!

I told the children we were going to make a
hypothesis... a guess of what
will happen to our apple slices
when I put them into a jar of water,
a slice into lemon juice
and a slice into an empty jar(air)

Each child then hypothesized.....
Will the apple slice stay the same
or change

I recorded each child's answer and
we will be making observations throughout the week

Super interested to start our observations

Sabrina was snack manager

Super Cute snack!!
Thank you for all your hard
work

Game and Activity Time:

Candy Corn ring toss

craft stick puzzles

Painting Pumpkins

Thankful Tree and spider
races

A special thank you to our
room moms
Sarah and Megan

and to all the families that came to help
it really made the party a HUGE success!
