Morning Work

Pumpkins, golf tees, hammers
and rubber bands
so much fun and develops
hand strength, hand-eye
coordination as well as fine
motor skills

Everyone wanted to have a turn SO
we set a timer and the children took turns
 when the timer went off

Teegan practicing letters

Science Experiment:
Apple Observations:
Apples and 3 jars
water
apple cider vinegar
and an empty jar

I asked what will happen (over time)to the apple
slice when I put it water,
vinegar and an empty jar (air)
Will the apple slice CHANGE or stay the SAME

I asked each child to make a prediction
and I recorded their answers

I told the children we will check our
apples daily
and record what happens

We then checked our apples from yesterday
(yesterday we used lemon juice instead of vinegar)
The apple in the lemon juice stayed the same

The apple in the empty (air) jar
turned slightly brown

The apple in the water turned VERY
brown
