Morning Work

This week LOTS of new games

with LINES!!!

I want the children to become very familiar

with lines to help them

start to make connections with letters!!

We also had a counting game:

Bria is enjoying this game

So many pretty gems to 

count and look at....

Colton chose to use bands 

and the peg board first

Addie, Charleigh 

and Hazel wanted to go

to play doh

I know how much Hayden

loves Spiderman,

So I found this 

Seek N Find

Spiderman book for

him to look at this 

morning

Claire came over and they looked

at it together

Luke chose to use the colored 

lines to create designs

Claire joined Bria

with the colored

gems and counting

Luke came over and joined

in with the line art

Charleigh was our

attendance helper

Zero friends NOT at school

16 friends AT school

So happy everyone was at

school today

Hayden led us with the 

invocation

JESUS TIME

We learned more about

creation

It is A lot to remember what

God created on each day

So I created these CREATION

cards

And then I gave the children pictures...

they got to decided what day

God created what was on their picture

I also arrange the cards to help remember 

what happen on each day....

Day 1 God created Light(day) and Dark(night)

then right below I put day 4 because he filled the day with sun

and night with the stars and moon

Then day 2 God created sky and water

Day 5... he filled the sky and water with

birds and fish

Day 3 God created the land, tress and 

grass

Day 6 he filled the land with animals

and created man

Each child had a turn

Addie had Day 7

God rested!

Carson invited Hayden to help him

because he knows Hayden likes to be Gate Keeper ( Gate

Keeper stands on the #4 and Hayden loves

to  stand on the # 4)

OUTSIDE

While we were on the playground,

the fire alarm in the main school building went off.

We could slightly hear it(wasn't overwhelming loud)

but the children knew what to do!

Even though we had never practiced what to do while outside,

the children followed directions 

we were even in a new location from our

normal (evacuation)spot!

Great Job, Preschool!!

Since our classroom is in

the Sonshine building we

were cleared to go back to our building,

while main school building

had to be cleared by the fire and police department.

Our class saw the fire trucks drive by... lots of excitement

Everyone did excellent.

Everything in the main school was cleared 

and the there were no concerns!

Mr Debrick, our principal, was very impressed at

how well the entire school did with the unexpected

Fire Drill and we are thankful it turned out to be

nothing

STORY TIME

After looking at the cover the children

 decided this book will be fiction.

Some of their reasons:

trucks don't have eyes

toads don't drive

animals don't go to school

Great Reasoning!!!

Winston was our librarian

Bria was weather helper

She first chose sunny

but wanted to change it to

RAINBOW

because she said it was a 

HAPPY DAY

Claire was our

prayer leader

I encourage the children to

say the prayer with their

families at dinner

Which is why I try

to remember to take a picture

so you will know the words too

with 16 friends we used

3 tables today

Roman began working on his

telescopes last week

but with the days off, today

is the first day he

got a chance to work on them again

using glue and

lots of sequins
