The children were enjoying

climbing into the tires
LOOK! NO HANDS!!
Great Balancing!

Roman and friends listening
for BIRDS

we went on a nature walk
we wanted to see if we could find the nest
of the bird egg shell we found

a few birds were spotted
on top of the
power line

Tree where the egg shell was found
we know the nest is in this tree
 but just too high up
to see it!

we could hear the baby
birds but not see a nest

But we did find this

beautiful butterfly

and a nest up in a different tree

and yellow insects

and a shell of another insect!!
we brought the shell
inside so we can look up exactly
what it came from

hollow inside

we took a short cut through the
ELP playground and our
pine yard to get back to
our classroom

STORYTIME

This one was tricky
the cover looks cartoon like
illustrations

So the children were thinking
fiction and the title
Does a Kangaroo Have A Mother, too?

The children STILL thought
FICTION!

But I told them that a
Kangaroo does have a mother too!
And so do all the animals in this story!!

Some of the children were SO
AMAZED!!
This book is
NON FICTION

And the very last page taught
us what certain baby
animals are called!
Such a great book!
