Our song..
READ READ READ
THE BIBLE......

All the stories from the bible are TRUE
non fiction

Today story might be one that
is hard to believe but
it really happened.

I started by asking the children if anyone
wanted
to be first... quite a few friends raised their hands.
I then said ...you don't even know yet what
you are wanting to be first for!
When then talked about why
people like to be first and WHY they wanted
to be first.

We then talked about how a LONG time ago the
people liked to ALL be first because they
thought they were better than everyone else. Them people
thought everything they did was better and they FORGOT about
GOD.
They thought they could get themselves to heaven
by building a tall tower.
One that would reach HEAVEN.
They kids all had surprised looks on their faces.
Most couldn't believe you could forget about
God!!

We then built a tower and as we were building
we pretend to be like the people
who had forgotten about God.
We said things like
LOOK AT US
WE ARE SO GREAT!
LOOK AT OUR TOWER

Each child got to help
build

I then told the children that God was not
please with the people from a long time ago, because they
forgotten about Him!

God did not knock their tower over
but it did make it so the people could no longer talk to each
other. He made it so everyone spoke
different languages and could no longer
work together

God wants us to remember the only way to get
 to Heaven is by
remembering Him and
by believing in Jesus

So I finished our tower
by putting a cross at
the top.

I told the children whenever we see
a cross  we can remember
Jesus is the way to heaven!!

(Later we will go on a Cross Hunt)

STORY TIME

This book is full of great
rhymes

I stopped a this page(because it is
a long book) but I also took a
picture so you can read it at home and
point out all the words that rhyme.

One friend said
I think this book is fiction

YES, I agree....

We cleaned up early and prayed
so we could go for our
CROSS HUNT

We could see the cross on top of
Zion's church from pretty
far away!

Side of church

closer view of the top of church

inside church

so many in front of church too

Above the church
office entrance

the entrance to our
school commons

Inside school near
the early childhood wing
of the main building

SO many crosses!!

And so many reminders that
JESUS is the way to get to heaven!!

TAKE CARE, POLAR BEAR

Luke's choice for
our good bye rhyme
