We listened to our bible story
today on the smartboard

Joseph learned that God is always with you

Next we did some role playing

I am really working with the class to be helpful
and kind to one another..at school and home

Sabrina pretended to fall and spill
her toys.....

Then the 2 other friends who volunteered
to role play
asked Sabina if she was OK and
helped her clean up

But Colton pretended to fall and drop his toys

Then Carly and Trente
volunteered to role play

They asked Colton if he was OK
and helped him clean up

Role Playing is a great way
to reinforce the skill you are teaching.
Role Playing also will give the children
the skills to handle new or different
situations as well as help develop
feelings of empathy!

New scenario

Carson, Tristan , Eddie and Charlie
pretended to be walking in line
and Eddie pretended to fall....
Then the other boys stopped and
asked him if he was OK and
then helped him up....

I love seeing the children learning
to care for others

We have been brainstorming and
creating a web of ideas

We LOVE outside time

Today we had some very cool blocks
and ramps on the play ground

It was cool watching the children work together

Lots of learning going on here to
as the children explore new materials,
work together, cause and effect
(putting rock on the ramps and watching
what happens)

Climbing and jumping
a great way to work our muscles

Travis very excited to use the wheel
barrow... moving these heavy
logs is another way to build our muscles

In this picture you can see
a few friends covering their ears....
hiding a bit....
I happened to notice the big school was
practicing a fire drill...which gave me a BIG
clue that the fire dept was here for
their surprise drill.

I talked to the children about what
was going to happen...
trying to reassure them that
even if it was loud
the teachers are here to help you feel safe....

Slowly they began to uncover their ears...

so they decided to read it

we need to use to make each letter
and then identified the letter
as well as matched it to the letter on the floor

We are working on putting it all
together into one picture....

Evie showed me LINES that she
made from the tape....

She remembered a lot from what we
have been talking about all week

and curved
