Its fun to spell words with
lots of different types of materials

Charlie is matching the letters

Hank is spelling his name

Charlie is finding the letters
in his name too!

Eddie is exploring the rocks with
letters on them

Carly loved using the colored beads
to find the letters in her name

It is fun to use pretty colors
to spell our name!

Lola spelled her name

Not pictured but we did Jesus Time next...
We learned about a man named Jacob who had lots of sons and
one who he loved very much was named Joseph.
Jacob gave his son, Joseph a beautiful
colorful robe.

Last week during Second Steps we learned
 about self-talk. Self-talk is a way
to help you remember what to do.

We learned a song to help us remember how
to wash our hands;

First we get our hands WET WET WET
Then we RUB RUB RUB
with SOAP SOAP SOAP
Then we rinse them OFF OFF OFF
then DRY DRY DRY!

Next we watched a video on YouTube
about lines!

We have been talking all year about
lines can help us form letters!  Today we learned
about different types of line and how we can use lines
to make lots of different things....
like art!

Each child will get a chance to use the clip-
boards and this piece of paper
to go on a line hunt throughout
the school building!

It was then time to go outside....

Beautiful day but the camera got forgotten inside...

Trente was our prayer leader

Eddie was the snack manager

Thank you Jace for bringing
Fruit:  Apple slices and
bananas!

Mystery Bag
I showed the children 3 different
things all beginning
with the same letter.....

After showing the
Teacup
Tomato
Train

Then I asked the children to guess what
letter I had in the bag...

The letter T

Next a few students got a chance today
to look for lines and try to mark
on their sheet of paper with
tally marks which lines he/she saw.

Tally marks can be challenging with some preschoolers, but is a great
way to reinforce counting and one to one correspondence.
The tally marks represent the number of objects(in the case lines)
the children see.  This can help the children remember what they see too

Carson and Charlie finding lines

Colton found some
lines

Hank found a curved line

Center Time:

Charlie made a robot

Carly is our Artist of the Week

So much creativity!!

Magnetic cars are still a favorite

Trains

Travis working at the
workbench

Carly spending a few minutes looking
at the family pictures

Carly was our exercise manager

She choose Toe-Touches!!

And got the class started right away...

I had to step away to answer a question...

I can back over and
everyone was following along!

Great job Carly!!
