Called To Care......

Today we role played ways we
can be
Called To Care

If you hear your child say...

I was Called To Care today....
 then ask them
How were you Called To Care today...

We are really trying to find moments throughout
our whole day..when we can can see someone
helping someone else.......

We pretended to be walking in a line
and one child stops walking and
all the other children want that child to keep
walking.....
I asked them how we can talk to
the child who isn't moving......

We practice using kind words to ask
the child to keep the line moving

Sometimes it is hard to be patient but the
children did a great job practicing

The children did a great job role playing
and using kind words to help the child move forward

In the next role playing....

we pretending to walk in a line and
one child "pretended" to fall

I asked the rest of the kids what should we do...

A few asked her if she was OK

The Ryan had a great idea.....
She said.....
You can help me up!

So sweet to see the children
role playing...
they all really enjoyed this......

Then we continued to add to our web
of ideas of others ways we can
be called to care.....

The next time you drop off...
come check it out.....

Samuel was very proud of his
crab walk or position

Sabrina was Called to Care

She decided on her own to help sweep
the sidewalk

Travis and Eddie played together on the
playground

After we played on the playground
we used our large muscles
to go for a walk around the mileage track

I told the kids they could walk, run, hop
jump... all of these actions helps
make our muscles stronger......

7 laps is 1 mile

Most of the kids did almost 2 laps...

As we were finishing
I heard one of the boys says,
"This was a LOT of fun"

Everyone was a little tired
from working our
large muscles

Reading a story before snack

Brody was the librarian

Jace the prayer leader

Sabrina was the snack manager

Today we played a game

I had little cards with the letters
we have reviewed so far......

Each child got a turn to pick a letter
and then match it to the (big)
letters on the floor...
as they matched them we talked about
what lines we use to make each..
For example:

I noticed the card you picked has
one big line and one little line....
What letter can we make from one big line and one little line....
A "L"

During center time a few kids
came over and told me they
found lines.....
the lines make an X
they were right!!
So we took a picture
hard to see the X in
the picture but they were so excited!!

A few more friends got to go on their
LINE HUNT!!

So excited to go!!

The children were very
excited to play with
this old keyboard and
rotary phone

Teegan found a stuffed monkey and
was very excited to
play with it today

Lola enjoying the dramatic play area

Colbie just relaxing and reading

Colbie, our exercise leader,
choose jumping jacks

Hard to get a good picture of jumping jacks....
they are all moving so fast 😊
