Did I say we had a busy day?

it really was BUT.....

SUPER FUN DAY!!!!

Morning Work

Making thank you's for our guest speaker

Oliver really enjoying the mini animals

and trying to find the animals

in the book..

I enjoyed watching him do this.....

that hatch from eggs!!!

Short morning work because our 

guest speaker, Miss Jamie

From The Friends of the Rainforest

came

Look at her cool 

visuals

What animals live in

the rainforest?

pictures she passed around

She also had a globe to show us

where the rainforest is.....

And she told us about

her trip to Costa Rica

she was very interactive........

Taught us abut the LAYER of the 

rainforest 

Forest Floor

we got down low

The Understory

The Canopy

and also the 

Emergent

with this cool visual

we got to see which animals

live in which

layer of the rainforest

and as we identified animals from her

visual we got to HOLD stuffed animlas

from each layer....

When each children identified a 

certain animal then she had a 

stuffy for him/her to hold

or a sloth backpack

The children LOVED it!!!

Then Miss Jamie asked if the children

knew how their animal MOVED

she asked a few to show us....

Isaac had a frog.....

A sloth for Nora

A bird for Carson

Snake for Cecilia

And Oliver had a snake too

THEN EVERYONE got to MOVE

 we made a parade 

and MOVED like our animals

Having so much FUN!!

and we got to do a choose a crafts

stamping

or coloring

Miss Jamie read a 

story while we did our craft

Then she answered some 

of our questions

Then we had chapel

Pastor Rouland led us

and talked about Holy Week

coming up

He brought his puppet,

Rupert who explain everything to us

Purple is the color for Lent

Colton was our 

offering helper

Lincoln and Carson got

to celebrate

their Baptism Birthdays

STORY TIME

Teddy was our

Librarian

The children LOVED this story

After I finished several asked

if we could read it again

This is a whole series........

and this book of the series talks about being 

kind BUT also to not

put TOO much pressure on yourself

or you might crack

Cecilia was weather helper

Oliver was PRAYER Leader--

(picture didn't turn out)

Carson was snack manager

(he was also working on his costume

I asked him,

"could you come he for 1 minute and call your friends to snack?)

I think he made a world record and called 

everyone to snack in about 30 seconds

Then right back to working on

his hippo costume

We are collecting lots of

environmental print

Teddy asked if he

could volunteer to be

our

teacher assistant today

Oliver was our

estimation jar person today

11 animals!!

CENTER TIME

Some friends have moved their

zoo pretend play over to the 

blue carpet area

new items to build ramps with

painting inside our

cave for our arctic area

working on what the children

want their page of the book to say.....

I wanted a "subject" to practice

different camera positions

to see how to get the best shot

for our class book..

Cecilia did a great job

for me

and pretending to be

eating her banana

very cute

Mason was our superintendent

I asked Oliver to volunteer to be

our YOGA Instructor today

our BUSY day!!

We had about 6 mins before pick up

and the children really missed outside time

SO we went to the pine yard

Pretty fun to have our parents/

grandparents pick us up over here today!!
