Read Read Read
the bible song....
We retold the story
THE TOWER OF BABEL
I then showed them this cross that the children
started yesterday
they colored it rainbow
to remind us that GOD always
keeps his promises!!
God promised to send a
Savior to help save the people from sin!
He sent HIS son Jesus.
We put our pictures on the cross to
remind us that Jesus is the way to Heaven
SECOND STEPS
We took a close look at this picture
I let everyone tell me
how they thought this little
girl was feeling
a few said
sad
or angry
We talked about how earlier in the week our puppets
taught us when we need help
to ask a teacher in a clear and
polite voice.
This little girl needed help zippering
her jacket.
Each of us practice how to ask for help!
OUTSIDE TIME
Charleigh and I were hanging out together
in the sun. She was a little chilly.
She spotted these birds(she said were
a mom and dad bird)
We then pretend to build a campfire
and roast marshmallows
Today we finished our book
This was the page the children thought had the
funniest rhyme!
Practice tonight at home!
The children love it!
Addie was our
weather helper
A rainbow kind of day
Charleigh was prayer leader
This one we haven't said
as often
Several friends asked if I would take
a picture so you can say it tonight
before dinner
Ben was snack manager
SNACK
Roman was our
teacher assistant
We then practiced what the H
says....... then we made H's on
the smart board
WHERE DO WE START OUR LETTERS?

CENTER TIME
Friends who were not
at school yesterday got to put
their pictures on our cross
We have a cool artist of
the week frame hanging
in our classroom
I have just not found a great system
to get the art work generated.
So I precut lots of different color
paper and I have
a class list and every week
I will choose one friend to
create art work.
They choose from our art shelf
of loose parts to created with as well as choose which
color paper they would like
Roman got to go first!
Once his creation is dry
I will hang it!
Mrs Koenen and I
divided into 2 small
groups and played
games with the
children
Mrs Koenen's
is a rhyming game
I did a few nursery rhymes
with a small group
and then they could use the
story pieces to retell
the rhyme
the other friends played in
centers
we took turns doing ALL
the games!
And I played Tricky Mouse
with a small group
They love
Tricky Mouse
The game goes like this:
First have children close their
eyes(this part is hard...no peaking)
Then together we say:
Tricky Mouse Tricky Mouse
Where is your House?
Then a child can raise their hand to answer
They answer by saying
Tricky Mouse Tricky Mouse
Are your in the __L/H/I etc______ House
and today the houses had the letters
written on them
we have learned
so far.....
THE CHILDREN LOVE THIS GAME!!!!
Lots of friends playing
in the block area!
Ben and Roman
playing legos
together
Carson created this wall
to help keep the wooden balls from rolling
ALL around the classroom
The children using the story
pieces to retell
Itsy Bitsy Spider
Magnet fun
Addie was our superintendent
Roman was our
yoga instructor
Tree Pose
Carson was
exercise leader
JUMPING JACKS
PRAYER REQUESTS
Another fun game
bowls with numbers 1-12
written on the front
Class sits in front of me
and hides their eyes while I
hide a bean bag
Then a child raises his/her hand to
make a guess......
He/She identifies what number
they want to guess
I then give clues
The bean bag is under a bowl
with a number small than 5
but bigger than 1
(or whatever numbers have been guessed)
This game is truly a favorite
and would be easy to make a home!
This game reinforces number recognition
as well as learning concepts such as
bigger than/smaller than
as well as problem solving skills!!!
Lincoln loves being line leader
and since we only had eight friends
today everyone got 2 jobs!!!
The good bye Rhyme
Lincoln chose:
After a while, Crocodile!
