Ben was our

invocation leader

we watched the video of

Jacob and Esau

Then we acted out the story.....

with dress up clothes!

Ben was Jacob

Charleigh was Rebecca 

Rebecca favored her son Jacob

Maisie was Isaac

and Luke was Esau

Isaac favored Esau and Esau was first 

born so Isaac decided he was ready to 

give Esau his blessing...

He told Esau go make my favorite meal and I 

will then give you my blessing

But Rebecca wanted Jacob to 

get the blessing

She helped Jacob trick

Isaac--

Isaac gave Jacob the blessing

When Esau came home and learned what

happened HE was very mad.

Rebecca knew she had to send Jacob away

for his safety

Mrs Koenen and a few friends from her

table noticed this tree with these

yellow/green balls on it

We decided to

investigate

I only brought in ones

 from the ground....

Cutting it open to see whats inside...

These one I think is spoiled

2 more that are less spotted and brown

Looks a little better inside

I sent the picture to

Ellie's mom who is part of a 

nature group and they 

determined that these are

black walnuts

After we realized they were nuts

we threw them all away and washed our hands

It was fun to investigate

and learn something new
