Our Bible Story for today
Jacob receives Isaac's Blessing
I retold the story using a flannel board
We learned how when Isaac grew up
he had twin sons, Jacob and Esau.
Isaac was getting older and was going
to give his blessing to Esau (the older
of the twins) Rebecca, Jacob and Esau's mom
wanted the blessing to go to Jacob.
She helped Jacob trick Isaac into
giving the blessing to Jacob. Esau
was very mad when he found out.
We talked about forgiveness when
we might do something to
trick or a brother/sister
OR
if we do something we know
we aren't suppose to do
Best News
God always forgives us
Lincoln was our
YOGA INSTRUCTOR
SURFER POSE
2nd Steps
We looked at this card
I walked around so everyone could see
it up close and use their
attent-a-scopes if they wanted
we then talked about what we saw
This picture was about following directions
finding ways to solve the problem that Danny is experiencing...
what to do when we don't know what the directions are.....
Ideas from the class:
Look around and observe what our friends are doing
ask a friend what we are suppose to do
OR ask a teacher what the directions are
one friend did suggest Danny should just
start playing on the carpet
But then we decided that might get Danny into trouble if
he was playing while the rest of the class
was doing what the teacher asked and then another friend said
and then ALL the other kids will want to get up and start playing too!
It is so fun to hear the children really think about the situation and
come up with ideas---- coming up with these ideas on their
own are going to help them remember what to do if
thid ever happens to them
