I challenged the children to see
 how many HEARTS we
can fill up this year!!!
We counted all(well most of) the windows
in our classroom and wanted to fill up enough
KINDNESS HEART for each window!!
That will be 18!!

Beautiful Outside
Thankful the rain stopped
so we could go outside!

Austin gathered friends to help

clean the patio area of the play ground

TEAM WORK!!!

STORY TIME>>>>>

Ok so I asked the children if they thought this
book would be fiction
or non fiction...

Immediately friends said FICTION, but Winston said
BUT MUMMYS are real!!!

Yes, but this story is about
Mummys who talk--which then he agreed would be fiction.

This however, led to questions about
mummys and if people still
mummify their dead(quite the conversation).and if YES
then where do people do this??.
So thanks to google, I looked up
if countries still practice this.....

I didn't explain it more than
people will wrapped their loved ones in cloth after
putting oils on their bodies.....
But after I told them what country
still does this, Lincoln wanted to know how long it would take to drive to
Papus New Guinea.
I explain we can't drive there but have to fly.
So Mrs Koenen looked up how long it takes to travel to Papus New Guinea
her site said 16 hours
*** but if your child talks about it please let them know that
I looked at it again because I thought it would be longer and the
site I looked at said it would take over
41 hours!!!
