Morning Work

Mason was our Attendance Helper today

He counted 1 friend not at school today

and 15 friends who DID come to school

(since we were missing 1 friend..we 

had 1 job left open)

Today we talked about SUMMER TREES

what the trees look like in the summer

and the parts of the tree

roots

trunk

branched

leaves

we then lined up to go outside

to observe the SUMMER TREE

This is just like the tree we observed

(on the other side of the stairs...just cant get a good

picture of it)

we sat on the sidewalk and drew

what we saw. I encouraged the children to look at the tree

and decided what color crayons to choose

everyone had their own clip board as well

OUTSIDE TIME

Story Time:

The children are getting into us

looking at the cover of the book,

making predictions about what the story

will be about and then decided if

it is FICTION or NON FICTION

Many decided that is would be FICTION because unicorns

aren't real... which brought up one friend saying that he still believes unicorns are 

real...they just live really high up in the sky so you can't see them

Clark was our LIBRARIAN

Cameron was our WEATHER HELPER

Hannah was our PRAYER LEADER

Carson and Wyatt are working together to clean up some

snack crumbs that fell on the ground

Dancing while we wait for everyone to finish cleaning

CENTER TIME

Trains was very popular today

we had a very disagreement in the beginning about

building on other peoples track

but the kiddos figured it out and everyone worked happily

Cameron has chosen play doh

first for the last few center times

She chose PUSH UPS

LOTS and LOTS of prayers today!!

We will be sending our class book home next week

for each family to enjoy for a night
