STORY TIME
I showed the children this front
part of the book
we talked about the name of the story
and the picture of the dinosaur
to help us decide if this is
a pretend story(fiction)
or true story (non fiction)
EVERYONE agreed it would be
a pretend(fiction) story!!
It is SO fun to point out
context clues to the children
and let them makes guesses about
the story before it is read.
It builds language skills, helps the
children build
ideas from prior knowledge and expands
their knowledge as well as
teaching them to make predictions
Clark was our librarian

Cameron was our weather helper
He said it was a rainbow kind of day

Mason was our Prayer Leader
Lots of hands folded, heads bowed, eyes closed

ready for prayer

Also Claire was sit by the teacher

to call his friends to snack

(at the top)

CENTER TIME
We had a few friends pretending

to be doctors the last few days

SO I got out some of the medical kit and dress up clothes
It was a popular area today

Matthew excitedly showing me what he

created
this one was a SWIMASORUS
(no idea how to spell it, but
since it is a made up dinosaur, I figured I can make
up the spelling too!)
🤣🤣🤣

SELF PORTRAITS
Some of the children got to do
their self portraits today

We used mirrors to look at our
features (skin, eye and hair color)

I had a variety of shades of paper
to choose from as well as flesh colored
markers
LOVE to watch the children study themselves

in the mirror
