using sticks to make
Nora working on coloring bugs to decorate our zoo
Charlie also working on decorations for our zoo

Look closely... you can see Charlie put a few bugs in the"grass"
Ella putting a few of her bugs up to decorate our zoo

Matthew enjoying the peg boards

Ella and Charlie making more bugs to decorate our zoo

Looking through the magnified bug containers to examine the bugs
Everyone checking out some bugs we have in the room

as well as the honey comb

Morning Meeting
Finishing up our voting for the name of our zoo.........

And the winner is......... SPARKLE ZOO!!
And a Close-ish second... Master of the Whole world where all the greatest bugs live

YOGA TIME

we didn't have an instructor so 2 friends volunteered

Charlie chose Surfer Pose

Then Wyatt chose OWL POSE

SCIENCE EXPERIEMNT

I gave each child a clipboard with a paper on it that looked similar to the big paper I used

to write our predictions and findings

THE QUESTION: What will happen when we put a candy pumpkin in water?

and one in Vinegar?

We made our predictions and then the children drew what they thought on their papers

Immediately both pumpkins sand and in the water one the orange starting coming off

We wrote the time down and put them to the side to wait and see what else happens

We watch a Jesus Time story of Moses while Mrs Larimore an dI set up an indoor

recess time... trampoline and obstacle course

Obstacle course: try to get through the tape and string without getting stuck

I was SO busy watching the obstacle course I forgot to take pictures of the trampoline

But everyone got several turns to jump

Story Time

Brody was our weather helper

Carly was snack manager

After 1 hour we to a look at our science experiment again

From our observations the candy with the water was FLOATING

dissolving(breaking small pieces off of it, turned white and the water turned

orange)

The pumpkin in the vinegar was still at the bottom, water was orangy

and the candy had pink at the top.

Writing out our findings

Each person went up individual to observe what was happening

Everyone brought their papers home so you can ask them about

what we learned today

CENTER TIME

Decorating our ZOO sign
(just wait to see how SPARKLY it is!)

Lots were excited by the cash register......
Nora worked on a book during center time

We are taking individual picture of our bugs and

using an APP called Chatterkid... we can give our bugs mouth and

make them talk..... we are taking a few practice runs because it is

super strange for the kids to pretend like their bugs are talking

But I think after a few times, the bugs will have more to say🤣🤣🤣

We have been also thinking of having a ticket booth for our zoo

So I remembered this puppet show and thought it would make a great

ticket booth. The kids thought so too and some immediately began making signs for it

Brody's sign says ticket maker......

Charlie wanted to be an entomologist
and show people around our zoo

Exercise time

Ella chose run in place

We forgot to do teacher assistant part earlier as we were busy with our

science experiment. Charlie did a great job pointing to the letters and asking friends what the letters are

It is sweet to see the children raise their hands for the "teacher

assistant" to call on them
