Happy Monday
As soon as Claire saw our Bug Zoo
put together on a shelf she was very interested in checking it out
Tristan was super excited to pick his job first
so he could be the line leader today
A few new games
A sorting and pattern game
Matching the pictures of insects our class took
Using cloth bands on the peg boards.. get for
building fine motor skills
Counting the leaves
Ella loves to color every morning!
Matthew is using small sticks to make letters
Great to use things from nature or items from your home and
find new ways to use them
Morning Meeting...time to start voting for the name of our zoo
After I wrote all the suggest (for our zoo)
I called each child over to write his/her name in
the square with the name he/she likes the best
Claire wanting to vote for the name she thought of,
but of course it was at the top of the page
So far there isn't one suggested name that has more than one vote
We'll see what happens tomorrow
The children thought we needed to sell
tickets for our zoo, so I brought a
cash register into our room today
SO I let them see it before we went outside
I found a cute counting book... that very basically shows through
pictures how to add.... the kids loved it!!
Matthew was our weather helper
Aiden was our prayer leader
(Claire thought she choice prayer leader
so that is why she is standing next to Aiden.
She actually chose Invocation Leader)
Carly was our snack manager today
INDOOR SNACK
It had started raining (plus it is pretty chilly out)
we decided to eat inside, but they love to picnic, even indoors!
Claire fell and bumped her chin on the train plastic bucket
Carly is taking good care of her
Mystery Bag
A class favorite...
today the pictures were VAN, VASE and VIOLIN
The class telling me what V words they know...... Brody also came up with VOTE
CENTER TIME
Hidden letters in the sand
I made Leaves with Capital Letters and Insect
with lower case letter for the children to dig in the sand
and find the matches
Last week the children wanted to add a brick wall to our zoo
so I brought down the brick blocks
Claire also enjoyed the plastic insects
I was just practicing a picture of one of our bugs.....
A friend told me about a cute app, so wait and see what our bugs can do
I asked the children to think about
If my bug could talk what would it say......
Carly is helping make the "GRASS" for our zoo
I think the brick blocks were a HIT(maybe became lots of
other things then the wall for the zoo....which is totally OK)
Exercise Leader
Ella chose for us to do Toe Touches
Claire being our Invocation Leader
