Claire came over and worked on the trees too
I asked the children to sign their

names on the THANK YOU card

Claire watching the ants

Aiden was very excited to see the ants this morning

Aiden started cutting things out that he wanted to use

for putting his bug together

JESUS TIME
Claire was our invocation leader

Joseph and his colorful robe

Matthew was our yoga instructor and chose
the OWL POSE

OUTSIDE TIME

Beautiful Day

Baking cakes

The boys are using ALL this logs to build a pipe..........
Lots of work to move them
Then they lined them up
And the "pipe" led to the tire which is the"drain"

I love the planning and teamwork this took to work together to create this..

This group of kiddos was baking.......

Another friend found a grasshopper
Then the baking group found a spider (very tiny and green)
Watching the grasshopper after they let it out of the bucket

Story Time... Nora brought in a book that we got to look at the pictures and learn more about an Entomologist
I also ordered dress up clothes that an Entomologist might wear

Brody was librarian. The Librarian's job is to put the book on my desk

after we are finished but since it belongs to Nora, I asked him to put it into her backpack
Aiden was our weather helper
Nora chose prayer leader
Luke was sit by the teacher

Carly was snack manager
YAY!!  Such a beautiful day we enjoyed eating snack outside

An outdoor Xylophone
Another insect spotted.....  a moth that completely blends in with the dirt
A few friends were excited to get their names on the KINDNESS CHART today
Nice job Wyatt
Nice job Tristan

Way to go Brody

So I was thinking of other opportunities for the children to
reinforce letter recognition in meaningful and fun ways....

We are going to see how this "job" goes
But whoever is "Sit by the Teacher"
also gets to do this job
I am not sure if I have a name for it
yet.... it could be teacher helper

But when it is your job to
sit by the teacher/reacher helper

you can use this pointer
(AKA... a big stick we found outside
and will decorate)
and point to letter
the person who gets to hold the
pointer can identify each letter or call on a friend
to identify it.....
children love to use pointers
so I think they will have fun with this
"JOB" and reinforce letter recognition

Luke got to do it first today

Luke immediately raised his hand was SO excited to share H words

he had brought into school today written on a piece of paper (he actually was SO excited about this ALL morning) It was SO fun to see him so excited!

OK we are all on different stages of our BUG Zoo creating...

A few still needed to paint parts

Others used their plans they drew last week

and constructed their bugs today

Aiden was looking forward to this part
all morning

Luke's finished product
Claire dressed up as a ladybug!! So cute!
Matthew trying on the entomologist outfit
Wyatt also dressed as an entomologist
Nora's finished bug

These guys were excited to continue their work from yesterday
Wyatt and Claire played in dramatic play for awhile today

Wyatt and Claire both painted their bug parts today

but are excited to start construct it too!!

Ella was our exercise leader today.... jumping jacks

FUN trying to get everyone to look at once .....🤣
