CHAPEL
The children are getting used to the chapel routine
using their strong muscles to move
their chairs over to the carpet
Everyone is doing such a great job getting ready for chapelThis picture is a little dark, but Wyatt was our invocation leaderMrs Aslin gave us the children's message today
Mrs. Aslin is one of our Kindergarten teachers
I love to see the children folding their hands in prayer
OUTSIDE
All the children were asking about a bug hunt
I accidentally left the bugs in the classroom
So tomorrow I will remember to bring them out with us
Brody and Luke made a monster truck
and they also said they had a tire shop
Here is a picture of the questions the children came up.....
STORY TIMECarly was the weather helper today ( she has been waiting to do this job)Aiden was our prayer leaderAnd no snack manager today, so Mrs Larimore took a picture of me calling friends to snack
We ate snack inside so we could have our FaceTime
call with our Bee Expert making sure I had
it set up right before I called
Mrs Kathy showed us some bee in her garden first
they were sleeping on the flowers...as the sun warms them up t
hey will start to move
Luke's mom, who is friends with the bee keeper
was very brave and put on a suit to protect herself from the bees
as they got really close and showed us the hive!
It was very interestingSo many honey bees... just doing their jobs!!!
All of our questions got answered and we learned a lot!
CENTER TIME:
YOGA
since chapel was first thing today
we did YOGA at the end of our day
Next, exercise time.... Brody led us in Running In Place
I talk to the children about being kind and what exactly
that means...
we will talk more about it tomorrow
But we thought of ways we can be kind to each other
*ask if you are ok if you fall
*hold the door open if your hands a full
*share
I told the kids if they are kind to a friend they can put their name on the kindness
chart. Our goal is to see how fast we can fill it!
This encourages kindness but also a great way to
practice writing their names
A surprise... a bag an entomologist might use! Amazon is great and I found this on Monday
and it already came to my house!!! Such great tools to bug hunt and explore.
I showed the children all the cool things. From a bug cage, magnifying glasses,
tweezers, binoculars, etc..... they are very excited to explore with these tools!
And after the children left, Sara brought honeycomb from her friends
to show our class!! I can't wait to show everyone tomorrow!!
