Morning Work

coloring was the most popular
area for morning work

Luke asked for staples to put his paper together to make a book
Many others LOVED that idea and made books too!

Charlie decided what job he wanted for today
Caroline using lines......
Then she told me, "I made a rectangle!"

Great Job!
Charlie sending a note to his brother, Johnny
Lots of coloring, book making and note writing. SO BUSY!!
Charlie then said, "Look at how BIG I am getting!"

So we measured him on the growth chart!
Then others wanted to show us how

Big they are too!!
Checking out ToKa, our grasshopper!
I learned grasshoppers don't actually need water to "drink" but they do

need moisture... so I sprayed the inside of his cage..

He was much more active then!!

Claire was excited she made a Q

As a project develops in the classroom, we brainstorm possible things we want to learn about. I asked the children if they knew what it meant to brainstorm and someone

said, "It is when you think of a bunch of things!"

Great way to explain it, Brody!

SO the children started saying things they would like to learn

about BUGS/INSECTS

I tried to get a picture of what everyone asked but I realize

now it didn't show up very well!
I really wanted you to see it... we had an entire page full of ideas!

YOGA
SURF POSE

OUTSIDE TIME

Brody was excited to show me his T.....
Then he made it into an L

Lots of building..... the children really enjoy these blocks
Nora went up and down the mountain at least a dozen times in a row!!

She really worked her muscles today!!

Caroline said, "Look at me!"

Carly worked very long and hard to

male this really tall tower

Caroline found this insect in the tunnel and wanted a picture of it!

STORY TIME
A silly fiction story about Bug going to a Ball(dance)

Luke was our weather helper

Caroline our prayer leader

Ella was our snack manager

SNACK... we were all a  little chilly eating snack....it is very shaded over here

and a little breezy.....

Introducing the children to how lines are all around us and how we use these

lines to make LETTERS and other things...

super cute video..here is the link if you want to watch it together

https://youtu.be/DQEVllmeWH4

Now we used the BIG line and 2 LITTLE lines to make the I

Then we only used 2 lines to make the L

And then the T

CENTER TIME

Claire was really concentrating on putting the little piece of sequins

on her name picture

Charlie worked on one more letter.....

Tristan spent some more time with his name art and then asked if he could

finish it next time

Toka was the winning name for the grasshopper.....which by the way will be released tomorrow(I am super worried about keeping him alive over the weekend)

Brody wrote me a note.... I love in inventive spelling on my name

and so sweet!!
Clean up time......

lots of friends working together to get the trains cleaned up
 Exercise Time

arms circles

Claire was our invocation leader... since we worked on PROJECT WORK

earlier in the day..... we ended with Jesus Time
We talked about how Adam and Eve disobey God and committed the first sin

now our world is filled with sin..... the children gave me ideas of what they thought were sins

we wrote them down in this heart.....

I said when our hearts are filled with sin we feel sad

then I told them that even know we all sin there is good news....... and before i could say it

one or two friends already remembered!!

I absolutely LOVE this!!!

God loves us so much he washes/wipes the sins away from our hearts

I wiped all the sins they suggested away!

This visual really helps children remember information!

All we have to do is ask for forgiveness!

God's love saves us from sin!!
