Today was a super fun day!!

The children were so busy and I love watching them take what they have learned during Handwriting without Tears time or Jesus Time and recreating it
in their play....
Check out the picture below to see

Caroline enjoys exploring all the morning work activities....

today she started with the sand and made letters

Aiden just really loved the way the sand felt

Great Job!

Checking out our grasshopper

Caroline was excited to show me her creation from the magnet tiles
Lots of friends wanted to color this morning

Luke made a robot with the lines...

Today was chapel

Mrs Lohmann, another full day preschool teacher gave the message

Her message was on JOY.... She talked about our hearts being filled with

Joy because of the LOVE of Jesus!

OUTSIDE TIME
These blocks are so much fun

many children work together for a long time
lots of cooperation happening!!

The children really enjoy the path through the garden

Carly wanted to move the tire, so she asked for help

several friends came over to help

STORY TIME

I showed a book that had a picture of a grasshopper

The first book I showed was a non-fictopn and had facts
about insects
Everyone wanted to ask a question or share something when looking at this book
Then I read a cute fiction story about beetles

Call Beetle Bop

Tristan was our librarian today

Brody really wanted to be the weather helper so he
was happy to do this job today

Matthew was our prayer leader today

Luke was our snack manager. Such a great way to learn our friends names

SNACK TIME

Hard to see with the glare but a few friends that wasn't at school yesterday

added ideas for our grasshoppers name and then voted on which one they liked the best

So far TOKA (given to us by WILL) is winning. The children all thought

this was a fun name to say

CENTER TIME

Brody told me is is making some of the days of creation from the legos

This is Luke's Jesus on the cross

Below Luke is showing me the cross comes off and you can take Jesus down

So creative

Aiden was making food and inviting people to his restaurant
Nora writing cards

WOW!!! Carly made 2 I's from loose parts in the art center

Brody showing his Day 1 of creation ... used all yellow for DAY and then told me we don't

have black to make night.  He also made the sea and sky(blue) for Day 2 and then land(green). Such hard work. Great Job Brody!!!

Will and Carly working together in the writing center

Matthew and Tristan playing in the dramatic play

Painting at the art easel
Caroline using the workbench

Tristan checking on the grasshopper

Luke and Claire playing with the tubes and balls together

Ella and Aiden using the legos

If you kids come home and say they got a SMELLIE... that is a good thing๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†
It is a scented chapstick
After I give a direction and my friends
who follow the direction
get a smellie...which just a little dab on the bak of their hand

Everyone really is motivated by this
it is such an easy way to get the children to quickly
follow the direction.

The first time today only 3 friends were following a direction the first time I asked
so I gave them a SMELLIE.
Then of course immediately everyone followed.
I told the rest of the class they would get another chance
and they did and everyone followed the direction the first time

YOGA
Yoga was late today because we needed more time for chapel

Claire chose downward dog

Then Ella was out exercise leader

She chose squats
