Morning Work

JESUS TIME

we talked more about the man who was blind

we talked about how hard it would be to 

do everyday things if we were blind

and that blind people have to use their other senses

to know what things are

I put 3 random items in the bag

and had each child feel around inside

the bag (no peaking inside)

after everyone had a turn

just "feeling" using their

sense of touch... we took turns guessing

what was inside

I asked the children to describe what they felt

hard, soft, bumpy, etc

They really enjoyed this

Next we talked a little more about our eyes

and what color our eyes are

we made predictions on if we had more, brown ,blue or green

eyed friends at school today

then we made a chart and signed our name

above what color our yes are

The children enjoyed looking in the

mirror to decide their eye color

 today we had more friends with green eyes

Luke has very unique eyes

he has one eye that is blue and one that 

has several other colors

He enjoyed showing all his friends his eyes and

then signed his name in the green and the blue

columns

Next was YOGA time

Charlie chose surfer pose

Since it was such a rainy day we DANCED

 for our outside time

Then after dancing we played

with the instruments

Nora was our librarian

Ella was our weather helper

Luke was our prayer leader

Carly was snack manager

SNACK

Claire was sit by the teacher

which then she also gets to be the teacher

assistant and point out the letters we have already learned

Practice writing D's on the smart board

CENTER TIME

Working more on our Valentine's Boxes

Laura's job today was exercise leader
