Monday's Blog

Advent

We lit the joy candle this week so now three candles are lit on the Advent candle! We sang "Light One Candle" and continued to talk about the birth of baby Jesus and the angels coming to visit the shepherds. We also read three devotionals in our Silent Night, Holy Night devotional book. Three different friends were selected to add stickers.

 Bean Bag Fun!

We weren't able to go outside today due to the cold temps so we played some bean bag games. We had so much fun as the songs helped us learn how to follow directions and develop gross motor skills. Mrs. Oswald made a visit today and joined in on some neab bag fun!

Put the beanbag on your foot.

Play catch with the beanbag!

Pass the beanbag.

Reading

The children have really enjoyed reading the Christmas books in our classroom.

We read two books together today....

This is a book I had as a child! And it was my favorite! It has scratch and sniff pages where the reader gets to smell all of the things little bear smells, all things that remind us of Christmas. Ask your child what he or she smelled. (hot cocoa, orange, pine, gingerbread) It would also make a Christmas present for your "little bear."

Our library helper chose this book for us to read. When the mouse did on ething it led to another and another and another.
