More with creation
Going on a CREATION HUNTthroughout the classroom....
I hid pictures of different
things God created
Asked each child to
find one and bring it
back to the carpet
Then each child showed
what they found and had to tell us
on what day GOD created it!!
Then they put
it on top of
that day story card!
OWL POSE
The we talked about our class family
and what we wanted to name our class
family
I took all the suggestions from last week
and put them
in these containers.......
The children painted these
wooden people and I put
their picture on it
Today we used them to vote......
Each container had one of the names that
the children came up with
we don't know which name is
going to win yet--- more friends need to vote
next week
Voting:
Voting teaches children SO much
making choices....... making a chose can be hard sometimes.
some of the children knew exactly what name they
wanted and others just stood there trying to decided.
I want to reinforce with the children that
they can chose what THEY want and whatever chose they make is OK
no right or wrong answer
Voting also gives the children a sense of
independence and ownership
We also learn about
MORE and LESS...
Which bowl had MORE wooden people?
Which bowl has less?
We practiced counting
and we also learn about
it is OK if what you voted for
doesn't get chosen.
Disappointment can be a hard emotion and
we want the children to know that
sometimes we do feel disappointment we just need to
learn how to handle that emotion
Lining up to play outside

Prayer Requests
We had about 7 mins before we needed to
line up SO I taught
the children a new game
whenever you can find a way to rhyme
with you child--- the better....
Each one of these houses has a letter
on it....... then I ask the children to close
their eyes and I hide TRICKY MOUSE
under one of the houses......
Then I tell the children they can look
I say my part of the rhyme
Tricky Mouse, Tricky Mouse
Where is your house?
Then the children answer with a rhyme
Tricky Mouse, Tricky Mouse
are you in the _(guess a letter_) house?
THEY LOVE
LOVE this game!!!
Austin was our line leader
today and chose
Fly High, Butterfly
for our good bye rhyme
