16 friends AT school
Zero friends NOT at school

While on the blue carpet I told the
children we were going to do things
a little differently today

And that we were going to
see how quietly we could
sneak through a secret door and
go into our attic and hide...

I said it was so important
to see how quiet we could be
One friend asked
Like Hide-N-Seek
I said---
Sure a little like Hide-N-Seek
but after we hide for a few minutes
we will go outside and
go to a parking lot across the street
I let them know that they may
see  police officers
and the police officers help
keep people  SAFE

Your children's job choices....

Today we did things a little
earlier and at some points
out of our regular order.....

We went outside EARLY
so we could get enough time
outside before our drill

off the slide

Story Time

Right after we finished our story

one of our Principles came over
the PA system and said time for
INTRUDER DRILL------
which I know he just made a mistake
because we had talked about not using
those words as we don't want to scare the children

None of our class reacted to the words(not sure any of them would
really know what intruder means) and
just followed me SO SO quietly and
we went into the attic!!!!

SO
QUIET!!!

GREAT JOB!!

QUIETLY SITTING ON THE FLOOR

 IN THE ATTIC

Walking over to the other parking lot....

Again everyone was so quiet
and followed directions

Sitting on sidewalk in our
"Safe Area"

All done..... walking back!

We were walking back and I was telling the children
how proud I was of them and how great they did
listening and one friend said
SO WE DID A GOOD JOB WITH THE
 INTRUDER DRILL?

So I guess one friend caught on to the words
one of our principals used, but no one else did

I was very happy with how well it
went and the children all just
went with the flow of
our crazy day!
