New Morning Work

I found a new puzzle

ABC matching puzzle

Learning how to use the stamp pads

1. Choose a stamper

2. Put it on the ink pad , press down

being careful to not get ink on your hand

3. Left the stamper up

4. Next you can use same stamper

OR 

if you chose a new stamper, use a baby wipe

to clean it off the one you are done with 

LOTS of steps BUT the children did great!

Jacob was enjoying the

beautiful loose parts

to form the letters we have

learned so far

Maisie is also using the loose parts

Cecilia wanted to use the stampers

Maisie came over and joined in with

the stampers

Samuel brought in a

BUCK EYE (about a week ago)

I have never seen a BUCK EYE

in its original shell

This one is starting to crack out

of its shell

after Owl Pose we did Second Steps

we talked about being a school family and how we can take care of each other.

I gave examples and asked what we could do to take care of each other

LIKE: what if your friends falls

What if your friend hands are full and needs to get inside

what if you are already playing with someone and another friend asked to play.......

(this one seems to be the hardest BUT I was so proud of

everyone!!  Great answers for all the scenarios PLUS

I saw it in action today as well.

The friend part is hard. I explain to the kids---you don't have to play with everyone all the time. 

BUT you can't use mean words to tell someone you don't want to play. A better way to handle it is to say

I will play with you in a little bit( or I play with you when I am done with this game  OR you can join us)

So many friends came over to me today declaring 

they made a new friend!!!

We played a game because we had about

6 mins before pick up

how many pieces do you wish

The children are following me with a clapping

pattern and then when it is their turn

they tell me HOW MANY PIECES they wish

( 1,2,3,4,or 5)

Then we clap in a certain way that many times.
