Second Steps
We learned about SELF-TALK
self talk can be helpful when there
are multiply step directions to follow.....
we looked closely at this picture and talked
about what was happening. The teacher had given the
direction to clean up then go sit on the
carpet. The little girl was following the directions and
as she followed the directions she repeated
what the teacher said...
Put the blocks away and
go sit on the carpet.
We talked about how helpful this can be when
the teacher gives several directions at once
Using their attent-a-scopes to
check out the picture
Arwen was the
yoga instructor...... SURFER POSE

of things we might want to learn about next....

Mrs Koenen helped
Mrs Lohmann with
the hand actions for our songs today
Mrs Lohmann taught us about
PROMISES
She said sometimes our parents might
promise to take us to our favorite
restaurant and something happens
and they can't keep their PROMISE
She tore the piece of paper that
said PROMISES--in half to
show a broken promise
She gave several examples of broken promises...
Then told us that
GOD never breaks HIS PROMISES!
Lucas was offering helper
STORY TIME
Most of these children were familiar with this
story--- Before we started we talked about things
that makes us MAD....
the children shared examples...
then we talked about things that are OK or
NOT OK to do when we are mad.
We then read this story and did
thumbs up
or
thumbs down
if we thought what the
book was saying was OK or NOT OK
