the children are really enjoying

the geo boards

Kennedy told me she made

an ice cream cone

with a cherry on top

Winston was proud of his

creation too

Now Kennedy made Chocolate

Cecilia made the letter H

Luke using these

fun colorful lines 

(made from rubber---someone donate a huge box of these

square samples--I think like for play ground surfaces)

I just cut into lines)

Ben also enjoyed using them

Austin told me he wanted to practice

his ABC's

Kennedy was our

attendance helper

1 friend NOT at school

15 friends here!!

Jacob had a special

event happen in his family

His  mom had her baby!!!

Body calm

After everyone had their bodies

ready to listen we talked more

about how we can treat our

friends in our class----

we have been concentrating on 

being a CLASS FAMILY

and just like our families at home----we 

want to treat our families at school with

KINDNESS.....

As we were talking

We had a friend whose

necklace broke(beads everywhere)

So many friends jumped up to help pick up beads

and other friends were talking so sweetly to our

friend who was sad her necklace broke.

It was the PERFECT example of

how we should treat our class family!!!

Then we also talked about how

we should talk kindly to each other.

For example, we had a few friends yesterday

use unkind ways of saying they didn't want to play with a friend

OR friends saying things like

ONLY BOYS(OR ONLY GIRLS) can play here....

I explain that you may not want to stop playing with a certain friend if another friend ask to play

BUT to say I DON'T WANT TO PLAY WITH YOU___

hurts feelings 

Instead you could say

I will play with you when this game is over 

OR you play this game with us.......

So we gave a few example of

other ways of talking to friends....

I wish I could have recorded the conversation------

it was amazing!!!!

The children really had great ideas and really thought of

other ways to talk to friends!!!!

Honestly it went on for about 15 mins

Which is absolutely amazing for

3,4 and 5 year olds to be SO engaged

for SO Long!!!!

I LOVED it!!!

The jobs your children chose....

OUTSIDE TIME

Then we spent time on the

parking lot....

What is special about the parking lot area

is we get to use 

TRICYCLES!!!!

Plus these cool walking stones

and BALLS

The had a blast!!!

about giving friends enough space

and NOT being a 

space invader

A really great way to explain

giving friends enough room

Jacob was our weather helper

Charleigh wanted to help our

friend whose necklace broke

Many friends wanted to help

remake Charlotte's necklace that broke

but the string was not repairable 

SO we made bracelets and necklaces 

with pipe cleaners and beads instead
