Miss Steinbacher, the children's ministry director at Zion Lutheran Church, visited our classroom for the first time. She told the class about Bethlehem, the church and school that our weekly chapel offerings will be helping this year. Bethlehem is a church and school in North St. Louis. Many members of their community were hit by the recent tornado and the church served as a disaster relief center and took to the streets helping residents with clean-up. They also recently began a foodbank. Miss Steinbacher even showed a picture of Mrs. Talley teaching Vacation Bible School to the preschool children at Bethlehem!
Mrs. Talley teaching children like us at Bethlehem Lutheran School in the city of St. Louis.
Miss Steinbacher told us that church is more than a building, it is the people, like each and every one of us, who love Him and show His love to others.
Daily Jobs
What great helpers we had today! Ask your child what job he or she did. Is there a job he or she hasn't chosen to do yet?
We enjoyed reading the book "Cat's Colors!"
Alphabet Song
Everyday we listen to a different alphabet song to begin our handwriting/letter time.
Our New Letter
The mystery letter bag came out today and we discovered that our new letter is T! See if your child can spot some capital T's around God's world... in the house, in books, on signs.
