HAPPY 1ST DAY

IT WENT SO WELL!!!

After the children hang up 

their backpacks and put their snack and 

water bottles in their cubbies

they can chose

MORNING WORK

Morning work is 

a quiet activity at a table

and each child needs to have a chair. 

They are 

free to get up and move

 and chat with friends next to them.

Zoey started  her morning

they wanted to do first

After everyone arrives and is settled...

I say 

1-2-3 FREEZE YOUR KNEES

everyone stops what they are doing

and puts their hands on their knees

and then they are ready to hear 

our next direction

We then come to the blue

carpet for morning meeting

and Jesus Time

Over the next week or so,

the children we learn all about our jobs....

JJ is showing us how to be

attendance helper

In the morning each child

"signs-in"

we count how many friends came to school

and how many didn't come to school.

When we have students not here we make sure

to pray for them

ALL 16 friends came to school today!!

Nora volunteered to show us 

how to do invocation leader....

Great JOB!!

The leader says....

We begin in the 

name of God the Father.... then class responds...  who created us(one finger up)

name of God the Son......... then class responds------ who died for us (make cross with fingers)

name of God the Holy Spirit....... then class responds.... who comforts us (hug yourself)

Our prayer leader gets to choose our

snack and then as they learn how to say them

when we pray we are talking to GOD

So we need to be respectful..

and close our eyes...

so sweet to see children

learn to pray!!!

Next Abikriti was our

snack manager...

friends  around to be with

different friends each day)

CENTER TIME

center time is a time

I introduce a few of the centers to start with

soon--just learning a few at a time

Also we decorated our little 

wooden people

we use these people when we

VOTE in our classroom

Trains also was a popular choice

Superintendent is another job!!

Once we get into the "swing" of things we make sure everyone has a job each day!

For this job, the student wears a construction vest

carries a clipboard/dry erase marker

 on the clipboard are pictures of the classroom

the superintendent marks off the centers that are already clean

PRAYER REQUESTS

Prayer is a BIG part of our day

we learn about prayer a few times a day

each day I take prayer requests..

our prayer requests are our

HELP ME part of our prayer....

Today I gave the children some examples of

what could be a 

help me prayer... some children thought of

something they wanted to ask God to help

with right away and a few needed a little prompting

BUT soon they will all learn about the 

HELP ME PART OF prayer.

After the room is clean and we do yoga and exercise

we sit for prayer

I lead a prayer

demonstrating  how to pray(talk to God)

I start with praising God

then I say help us

then I say thank you....

THEN I read each child's prayer request

THEY LOVE to hear me say their prayers

After we go around the circle and each child says

a THANK YOU JESUS

prayer...

we then end with

WE LOVE YOU JESUS!!

It was an amazing 1st day!!
