Thursday Fun in Preschool

The boys and girls are doing amazingly well adapting to our classroom routine. We didn't have anything special added to our schedule, so it gave us time to work on what a typical day will look like in our classroom.

Morning Work

Renesmae shares her coloring page.

Morning work is a great time to make personal choices and talk with friends.

Playdough is always a popular choice.

Landon made the letter L with straight lines!

Simon sorts fruit by color and shape.

These are the jobs the children chose for the day.

Circle Time & Jesus Time

Harrison was the Attendance Helper. Everyone helped him count how many children were here today... all 16 came to school!

Nora was our Invocation Leader during Jesus Time.

Harrison was our light helper.

Fun on the Playground- What beautiful weather! Enjoy some extra time outside with your family. At this age it is so important to move those little bodies by running and jumping. Check out a new park in the area or take a walk in your neighborhood and look for straight lines.

Beckett was our door holder.

Millie was a door holder.

Luke was our Librarian. The children loved this book. It has some repetitive text in it which is important for this age and stage to read as they were able to join in with me. I told the class they were reading "with me" and we will read the book again per their request!

Aavya was Sit By the Teacher.

Simon was our weather helper. He chose rainbow day, which means it is the perfect day. And it was!

Landon was the prayer helper. This is the prayer he chose. The children will learn all of the prayers by the end of the year.

Levi was the snack manager and he called children to then table for snack.

Snack is the perfect time for conversation and to learn independence by learning how to open their own lunchboxes and containers, pour milk and water.

The Letter L-  We used big and little sticks for the first time today and made the Letter L. Then Mrs. Koenen led us in a fun song where we got to listen to directions and hit our sticks on the floor, on our head, toes, together... the kiddos loved it!!!

Centers

Our prayers for the day.

Harrison did some amazing writing in the writing center and was asked to share his work before we went home! This is his favorite monster truck.

Abikriti was our exercise leader.

Lyla was our yoga instructor. We did the owl pose.

Renesmae was our line leader and we ended our day with a rhyme... Be Mute Flute!
