Morning Work
Look at the tall towers some of our friends made during morning work! Some children built by themselves while others built with friends.
Our Jobs For the Day
The children are having fun choosing different classroom jobs to try. Ask your child what jobs he or she chose to do at school this week.
Ellis was the Attendance Helper.
Renesemae was our Invocation Leader.
Harrison was our Line Leader.
Beckett was our Door Holder.
Indie was chose a fun book for us to read!
Landon was the Sit by the Teacher.
Olivia was the Weather Helper.
Selah was the Prayer Leader. This is a great prayer to sing. Sing it to the ABC song.
Abikriti was the Snack Manager.
Holly was the Teacher's Helper.
Leo was the Exercise Leader.
Annibella was the Yoga Instructor.
Jesus Time
During Jesus Time we acted out the story of Jesus loving the little children. Harrison played the part of Jesus and Leo, Landon and Abikriti played three of the disciples, Mrs. Koenen ad Mrs. Talley played the moms and the rest of the class played the children.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me!"
Mrs. Koenen leads us in a song during Jesus time.
Intruder Drill
We practiced an intruder drill this morning. The children did so well! When our principal, Mr. Marolf, made the announcement, we quietly went upstairs, into the attic space with Mrs. Cooper's class and stayed there until Mr. Marolf said we could come out. It was like playing hide and seek! We were so quiet, Mr. Marolf and Mrs. Helmkamp, our early childhood director, weren't able to find us!
Playing in the Commons
We learned how to play in the Commons area and how to move our bodies on a scooter board.
Who Ate the Cookie From the Cookie Jar?
We learned a new song during Circle Time.
Who Ate the Cookie From the Cookie Jar? It was a great way to learn how to read our names and our friends names as well as sing a fun song.
