JESUS TIME
I asked the children to tell me what they
remember about this week's bible story
from looking at the pictures below
then anyone who wanted
some bandages.. got to wrap
themselves
we spent some time talking about
how back in Jesus' day if
someone got a disease called
LEPROSY
they would have go live somewhere
away from their families
Leprosy caused sores to develop all
over your body
we used the words from our curriculum
book to "act" or "retell" the story
After Jesus healed the 10 men
only 1 came back to show praise and say
THANK YOU
As a class we talked about how important it is to
show praise EVERYDAY to God!!
WE can thank God for waking up everyday
for the food we eat
for the houses we live in....
BUT we should also say THANK YOU to our
parents and families each day
Then we talked about ways we can say thank you at school...
I told the class that there are people who
work hard at night after we leave to keep our room
clean...
Then the children decided to make
a THANK YOU card
and everyone signed their names
Our helpers...
outside time
we are loving the beautiful weather

Dominic was weather helper
Abidaan was prayer leader
Kennedy was
snack manager
SNACK
Before Handwriting without Tears time
we
sing the ABC (usually a phonic based one)
Today Mrs Koenen shared
one that also teaches the sounds each
letter makes...
here is the YouTube link
so you can listen and sing along at home
https://youtu.be/U3S3OX6HQm4?si=WqrnLIxW2MuulA64
It is interactive in the sense that
the singer sings a line
then the children repeat...
cute how quickly the class caught on
and sang along...
Aavya was teacher assistant
WOW!! So many P words
Then we played a letter game
Mrs Koenen had recently learned
I wrote ALL the curve letters we have learned
so far on an orange piece
of paper
then mixed them up
then held one up above my eyes
BUT I wasn't allowe dto look at it---
The children could only tell me the sound
that letter makes...
That did SO
great!!
