Morning Meeting

Abidaan's turn to take care of
Little Puppy

Lyla was attendance helper

3 friends NOT here
14 friends HERE

Invocation Leader today was Abidaan

Zacchaeus

I retold the story and we talked about
Jesus amazing LOVE for
everyone!!
We are ALL sinners and
Zacchaeus was a dishonest man
BUT Jesus was able to
change Zacchaeus' heart
and he does that for us too!!

We had this paper heart
and we passed it around
and crumbled it!!

we talked about when we sin

(unkind, fight with brother and sister

not listen to mom or dad, yell, etc)

our hearts are a little like this...
crumbly and broken

BUT
the GOOD news is...
Our hearts don't have to stay that
way
Zacchaeus had a change of heart
after listening to Jesus

WITH
Jesus our hearts can be new and fixed!!
Jesus saves us from sin
and forgives us everyday!!!

HELPERS

A VERY VERY SHORT OUTSIDE TIME
I wanted the class to have a little fresh air before it
rained more

It was ok when we first got outside
BUT after a few minutes
the drizzle got a little heavier
and making ground a little
slick-- a few friends did slip
SO we came in

Most of the children would have
stayed out if
given the choice 😂😂
one friend would have stayed IN
the whole time if given the choice....

EMMY was librarian

we love our non fiction
informational books

also yesterday's book taught us
a little bit about
FOOD CHAINS

So I found this diagram that shows
ARCTIC FOOD CHAIN

Samuel was
weather helper

Simon was prayer leader

Ellie was sanck manager

SNACK

Kennedy was
teacher assistant

If you have a chance
brainstorm a few more Q
words with your child tonight

Q can be a hard letter to think of words..
many friends were suggesting W words

so we practiced making the W sound
(showing the class we use our lips)
and
then the Q sound
(using back of throat)
to try to hear the difference

GOING ON A BEAR HUNT....

SUPER CUTE FROM YOUTUBE

https://youtu.be/QDPyyrtmtrw?si=QrVSY0oolkJPYP5o

Then we went on a bear
hunt in our classroom....

we redid the whole song until we
got to our
igloos (pretended to be cave for our game)
and found POLAR BEARS

I brought a polar family from my house
SO I thought it would be a fun way to introduce
the polar bears....

CENTER TIME

Plus a PUFFIN

Lots of friends wanting to check out
the polar bears and play
in the Igloos

We also decorated our
Valentines bags.....

I had stickers and
stamps as well as markers

Also we made the backdrop
for our photo booth
for our HEARTS OF LOVE PARTY

Jacob was our
superintendent

Harrison was
our exercise leader

Audrey was yoga instructor
