HAPPY FRIDAY

BUILDING IGLOOS

Lyla started with the feeding the penguins
game

Of course we had to have a
little CHIEFS activity
for the upcoming Superbowl!!

Lyla also wanted to color
some chiefs stuff...

Dominic coloring Arctic animals

Lots of friends coloring

Camden playing
Roll A Snowman

The girls LOVE
the arctic animals

JJ joined Camden with
Roll A Snowman

JJ said,
"Look at my snowman, he is SO cute!"

And Camden said,
" Mine is cute too!"

So I told both of them I would take a picture
and put it on the blog

Maisie was
attendance helper..

3 friends NOT at school
14 friends here!!

Maisie got to take care
of Little Puppy today

We need a volunteer for
Invocation Leader
Eleanor LOVES this job and raised her
hand first ... her BIG brother really wanted to
help SO they teamed up!!

AND LED US TODAY WITH THE
INVOCATION

JESUS TIME

We did an activity and began by
talking about Zacchaeus..
I asked the children what did
Zacchaeus do that was a sin...

HE STOLE MONEY

Then I said...
even though we do not steal money
we still commit sin everyday
(fight with our brother or sister,
tell mom and dad no, say unkind words)

When we sin it brings us further
away from God

we stood on one end of the carpet and I asked if anyone
could get over to the cross
(on other side of the blue rug)
without touching the blue carpet
(the blue carpet is all our sins
keeping us from GOD)

No one could think of a way

BUT I said there is a way....

Mrs Koenen helped us by making
a cross on the ground...

Then everyone started saying
we can get to the other side through JESUS!!!

YES!!

Jesus is the only one to get to God/heaven
Jesus
died on the cross for OUR sins

Jesus will bring us to God...

we each took a turn walking towards

God through JESUS

today's helpers....

outside....

Dominic LOVES the
wheelbarrow

Levi was librarian
and was excited for us to read
a class favorite...

This book is so perfect for young children
learning about rhyming!!

our weather helper

Dominc was prayer leader

we thought of one more Q word

Then we watched a short informational
video on how the Inuit people
would Ice Fish
https://youtu.be/If6xSY7UjMk?si=sFyY0PqdprxxmZM5

it showed using a stick as part of the way
to catch fish..

SO Mrs Koenen went outside and
got us sticks and made fishing poles

then we made a hole in the top of a box
for our "ICE"

then we painted glue over our ice
fishing hole so we could cover it with white
to look more like ice

we also began making decorations for
our party

JJ and Camden made their
Valentines Bags

LOTS of friends making decorations

Xander came with wrist bands on
SO Abidaan wanted to make his own

Playing in the igloo

FOR FUN
We voted or predicted who
we thought would win the
SUPERBOWL....

Chiefs or Eagles...

OUR ICE FISHING IS READY>>>>

we discovered if 2 people fished from

the same hole ---poles got tangled

ANd even on the video---everyone

fished from different holes...

So I quickly cut a hole out of another box...
we can make it look ore ice like later..

2 fishes holes worked better

igloos got set up side by side

many friends waiting to fish
VOTING
for the Eagles......

2 Eagles fans....

we were SO SO busy today!!

FISHING

Look at our Valentine Streamers...

Somehow a few friends started pretending to
be Cupid (a conversation that happened
with Mrs Koenen)
So they were using these long tubes
to search for people to fall in love?? Or something
like that.. I only caught part of it....
But they were having fun

These friends told me they found
a new home
for their polar bears
